Russia might resort to sabotage in Poland, with perpetrators posing as Ukrainians.

Russia may orchestrate provocations in Poland, during which saboteurs would impersonate Ukrainians.
This was stated by the former commander of the Polish special unit GROM, General Roman Polko, as reported by the InPoland portal.
According to him, potential scenarios include attacks on critical infrastructure, acts of sabotage, and power outages.
Polko believes Russia might employ a “little green men” strategy under a false flag.
“Under the guise of, for example, outraged Ukrainians, they could launch an attack on critical infrastructure,” the general said.
He explained that the objective of such an operation could be to incite public outrage against Ukrainians and divert Poland’s focus from aiding Ukraine to internal issues.
The general noted that Polish intelligence services have repeatedly reported the detention of Ukrainian or Belarusian citizens suspected of working for Russia.
He does not rule out that Moscow might utilize similar agents to damage infrastructure or cause widespread power disruptions, subsequently framing these as actions by Ukrainians.
Not Direct Warfare, But Provocation
According to assessments by Polish and Western intelligence agencies, Russia currently lacks the capacity for a direct assault on NATO.
However, the threat to the eastern flank countries of the Alliance persists. The most probable scenario is considered not a full-scale invasion, but a limited military provocation combined with an extensive disinformation campaign.
In recent days, Western media and politicians have also issued warnings about possible Russian provocations in Poland or one of the Baltic states.
Meanwhile, Russian state-controlled media label such reports as Western manipulation.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the country is preparing for various scenarios but urged citizens not to panic.
“I don’t want to frighten anyone, but the coming months, partly due to the changing nature of the war in Ukraine, could be truly critical,” he remarked.
According to the Polish head of government, the Baltic states are experiencing the most concern regarding potential Russian actions.
As a reminder, the United States and European intelligence agencies previously warned that Russia is planning military provocations against Poland and the Baltic states in the coming months. Due to persistent threats and airspace violations by Russian drones, Polish authorities are actively preparing for defense—the country is building a substantial army reserve and pre-emptively training its civilian population in case of war.
