Ankara has stated its readiness to host negotiations between Ukraine and Russia to end the war.

Turkey will continue to support diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine. Ankara is prepared to host further rounds of discussions between the parties.
This was announced by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the social media platform X.
“As Turkey, we wish for the war between Russia and Ukraine to conclude at the diplomacy table. In this context, we have reaffirmed our willingness to provide any support, including facilitating the next negotiations,” he emphasized.
Fidan highlighted that during their visit to Moscow and Kazan, the Turkish delegation held meetings with representatives of the Russian leadership, addressing bilateral cooperation and current regional issues.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico intends to propose an initiative to the EU for establishing a communication channel between Ukraine and Russia. Currently, he believes the European Union lacks sufficient influence to play a decisive role in the peace talks.
In turn, American leader Donald Trump has hinted that “something will happen” in the war between Ukraine and Russia. He stressed the necessity of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian leaders to resolve the conflict.
