Russian forces have begun deploying a new jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicle on the front lines, which is likely a variant of the “Delta” drone. Serhiy “Flesh” Beskrestnov, advisor to the Minister of Defense, revealed the technical specifications of this new enemy asset.

He disclosed this information online.

“Remember when I told you about the enemy’s inexpensive jet UAV that started being used on the fronts? There’s a belief that this is a jet-powered version of the ‘Delta’ UAV,” Beskrestnov’s statement reads.

According to the Minister of Defense’s advisor, the stated capabilities of this drone are:

  • strike range up to 200 km,

  • flight duration up to 50 min.,

  • speed up to 280 km/h.

At the same time, “Flesh” noted that there are currently no captured samples available, so it is not yet possible to definitively confirm these parameters.

It is worth recalling that Russia is increasing its use of jet-powered UAVs, which, despite their high speed, have significant drawbacks. According to Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, a jet engine requires a substantial amount of fuel, limiting its flight range and payload capacity. Although the enemy is attempting to enhance these characteristics, such drones remain an expensive compromise, where speed is achieved at the expense of strike effectiveness.
