After striking residential buildings in Kyiv, the Russian Federation cynically reported an “retaliatory strike” against Ukraine.
This was reported by Russian media, citing the aggressor country’s Ministry of Defence.
Following a massive and deadly strike on Kyiv and other regions, Moscow cynically referred to the attack as a “response” using “high-precision weapons.”
Despite civilian casualties in Ukraine’s capital, the Russian military leadership cynically claimed they only targeted “military facilities” and supposedly only hit them. In their typical fashion, Russia’s defence ministry also cynically boasted of “successful and accurate strikes.”
The Ministry of Defence brazenly justified the large-scale assault and falsely stated that they allegedly attacked defence industry enterprises, military airfields in several regions, logistics centres, and nuclear power plants that the Armed Forces of Ukraine supposedly utilize.
Recall that on the night of July 2, the **Russian Federation launched a massive drone and missile attack on Kyiv.** Fires and severe damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings occurred in all districts of the city. Direct hits were registered on multi-story buildings, specifically in the Darnytskyi district.
Furthermore, during that night, **the Kyiv region endured a powerful combined Russian assault.** Five districts of the region were targeted: Buchanskyi, Brovarskyi, Obukhivskyi, Fastivskyi, and Vyshhorodskyi. At least three people were injured.
