Russian troops are continuing offensive actions across several directions, but have not achieved significant confirmed advances.

This is according to an ISW report.

What is the situation on the directions

Sumy Oblast

The occupiers attempted to advance to create a so-called “buffer zone” along the state border. Despite claims from Russian sources about advances in certain areas, there is no confirmation of this.

Kharkiv Oblast

In the Kharkiv direction, as well as in the Kupiansk and Borova areas, Russian forces have also not achieved confirmed successes. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strike Russian equipment and logistical routes.

Donetsk Oblast

The Russians attempted to conduct assaults and sabotage-reconnaissance raids in the Sloviansk, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Dobropil, and Novopavlivka directions.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Russian troops are increasingly using motorcycles, ATVs, and other light vehicles due to a shortage of armored vehicles and significant losses from Ukrainian strikes. The occupiers have not managed to advance or consolidate their positions.

Latest news from the front

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the pace of advances by the troops of the Russian Federation on the front in Ukraine has more than halved in the first half of this year. Nevertheless, the aggressor is seeking to expand its offensive in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the alleged capture of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast by Russian troops. The Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted this information, calling it another fake.

Incidentally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Putin’s statement about the alleged capture of Kostiantynivka. He noted that if the city is under RF control, then Putin would have no problem meeting him there for a diplomatic settlement.
