Poland issued a warning to the Kremlin following a Russian missile incident: what was heard at the Russian Embassy

The Russian Ambassador Georgy Mokhnov received a note of protest from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs after being summoned to the ministry regarding a missile falling in the Lublin Voivodeship on July 30. The diplomat of the aggressor country was also urged to end the war against Ukraine.
This was reported by the spokesperson for the Polish MFA, Maciej Wawrzyk, as cited by Polsat News.
Mokhnov was informed that “any escalation on the border of the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance is undesirable and unacceptable.”
“The ambassador also heard a call to stop this unlawful war against Ukraine, in which innocent people are dying,” said Wawrzyk.
At the same time, Deputy Secretary of State Robert Kupiecki handed the Russian representative a note of protest concerning the intrusion of a cruise missile into Polish airspace.
“The ambassador heard that we unequivocally condemn hostile actions directed against the security of a sovereign state and its citizens. We demand an end to actions that pose a threat to the life and safety of the Polish people, while also carrying the risk of an aviation catastrophe,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Wawrzyk added that the diplomat of the aggressor country accepted the note of protest. He emphasized that in such situations, “there is not much room for lengthy discussion.”
“The ambassador very clearly heard our position and the emphasis on our cooperation with our allies,” he noted.
Wawrzyk stated that he did not want to speculate on Poland’s further steps in response to Russia’s actions. However, he stressed that public statements from the government are a clear signal to Moscow.
As reported, on the eve of this, Warsaw took the first step after the dangerous incident. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs had summoned the Russian ambassador.
As a reminder, during an attack on Ukraine on July 30, a Russian Kh-101 missile entered Polish airspace. Two NATO fighter jets were scrambled over the country. The Alliance stated that they are in contact with Warsaw regarding the airspace violation.
