The Russian army has already lost its capacity for massive assaults on the previous scale, and control over the airspace is increasingly shifting to Ukraine.

If the current trends on the front line persist, a turning point could occur in 6–7 months, after which Russia’s tactical defeat in the war against Ukraine will become evident.
This was stated by the commander of the Third Assault Corps, Andriy Biletsky, during the national telethon.
According to him, the key factors driving these changes are the growing shortage of personnel in the Russian army, the absence of significant advances by the occupation forces, and Ukraine’s increasing air superiority thanks to unmanned systems.
Biletsky noted that the Russian army has already lost the ability to conduct large-scale assaults at its previous intensity, and Ukraine is steadily gaining more control over the airspace.
“We are no longer talking about the ‘meat grinder’ waves that were the norm 7–8 months ago, even in the most active sectors of the front,” he stated.
The commander of the Third Corps also emphasized the shift in the balance in the sky.
“We are gradually taking control of operational depth up to 200 kilometers with drones… there is a clear understanding that the sky is ours now,” Biletsky stressed.
In his assessment, these trends are already leading to the stagnation of the Russian offensive, and if they continue, the crisis in the Russian army will only intensify.
At the same time, Biletsky suggested that Russia might try to compensate for its setbacks on the front line by increasing strikes on Ukrainian cities.
As a reminder, military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that Russia is theoretically capable of regularly launching massive missile attacks on Ukraine – approximately once a week for several months. However, the possibility of such attacks is influenced by Russia’s issues with equipment, strategic aviation crews, and the physical condition of its pilots.
