The Belarusian authorities are openly facilitating the recruitment of their citizens into the Russian military to participate in the conflict against Ukraine.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, as conveyed by FREEДOM.
A special online resource has appeared within the Belarusian national domain zone, inviting individuals to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense. Those who accept are promised a lump-sum payment of $28,000 and a monthly stipend exceeding three thousand dollars.
Intelligence data indicates that nearly 3,000 Belarusians have already served in the Russian army, with at least 440 of them perishing.
Concurrently, Minsk is intensifying the militarization of its education system: tenth-graders are slated to receive training in drone operation and tactical medicine.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Lithuania will render its borders with Russia and Belarus impassable. The country’s government has approved a draft law from the Ministry of Defense proposing measures to impede potential enemy troop incursions.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, stated that Russia could initiate an invasion of Ukraine from Belarusian territory at any moment, territory that self-proclaimed leader Alexander Lukashenko is willing to “graciously provide.”
