Чи готують ґрунт для теракту: росіяни звинуватили ЗСУ в нападі на шостий енергоблок ЗАЕС

The head of “Rosatom” Alexey Likhachev accused Ukraine of an alleged drone attack on the turbine hall of the sixth power unit of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), which may indicate the occupiers’ preparation for another large-scale provocation at the nuclear facility.

Russian occupiers have launched another disinformation campaign, accusing the Armed Forces of Ukraine of an alleged drone strike on the territory of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

The head of the state corporation “Rosatom” Alexey Likhachev announced another Kremlin fabrication in a commentary to Russian propaganda media. According to him, on the afternoon of May 30, a Ukrainian drone allegedly detonated directly near the turbine hall building of power unit No. 6 of the ZNPP.

Trying to give the fake more weight, the Russian official claims that the UAV was supposedly controlled via fiber optics, which, in his opinion, completely excludes the version of an accidental hit or loss of control. Furthermore, the head of “Rosatom” resorted to outright blackmail and lies, stating that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are “crossing the boundaries of common sense” and that strikes on the nuclear reactors themselves and the key safety systems of the plant should be expected from them.

Military experts and analysts have repeatedly emphasized that such absurd accusations from Moscow are a traditional informational backdrop. Russia regularly orchestrates provocations at the ZNPP (“under a false flag”) to discredit Ukraine on the international stage before the IAEA and to absolve itself of responsibility for nuclear blackmail and the creation of a threat of disaster at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.

As a reminder, a dangerous malfunction occurred at the ZNPP the day before, and the IAEA sounded the alarm.
