Ihor Obolensky commented on the assassination attempt against him for the first time, stating that Russia uses terror as one of its methods of warfare. According to him, such actions indicate the enemy’s inability to achieve its political goals through military means.
He announced this on his page.
According to Obolensky, the attempt only confirms that Ukrainian forces are effectively carrying out their tasks and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
“Terror is one of the methods of warfare used by Russians and a sign that they are not achieving their political goals through military means. Today’s attempt is proof that we are doing everything right and effectively destroying the enemy on the battlefield,” he emphasized.
Obolensky also thanked everyone who expressed support for him after the assassination attempt. He noted that such a reaction from Ukrainians confirms the importance of the work being done by the country’s defenders.
“Thank you all for the attention and care I received from you, which assures me that our work is important to Ukrainians. Thank you for the support to the President of Ukraine and the People of Ukraine!” Obolensky stated.
In Obolensky’s opinion, the assassination attempt is a manifestation of the Russian side’s fear of Ukraine’s successes.
“The attempt is a sign of the enemy’s fear. And our retribution will make them fear even more,” he concluded.
