Following the deadly nighttime Russian assault on Kyiv, the Kremlin issued a cynical statement and unleashed new threats.
A new, audacious declaration was made by Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian “fuhrer” Putin.
The press secretary for the Russian dictator impudently stated that Moscow would continue to intensify pressure on Kyiv “to achieve its set objectives.”
It is likely that Peskov considers Russian missile and UAV strikes on residential buildings, as well as the killing of Ukrainians – such as those in Kyiv last night – as “pressure.” His statement came in response to a proposal by the EU’s chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, suggesting that sanctions against Moscow should be strengthened after this massive strike.
It should be noted that the Kremlin representative, following the Ministry of Defense, falsely claimed that Russian forces allegedly carried out a “retaliatory strike” exclusively on “military or quasi-military targets.” He did not even mention that Russian missiles and drones killed almost 20 people in their own homes in Kyiv.
Furthermore, the “fuhrer’s” press secretary accused Europe. According to him, alleged escalation from Europe concerning the Russian Federation “forces Moscow to plan additional measures to ensure state security.”
As reported, **after the nighttime strike on Kyiv**, Kaja Kallas urged for expanded sanctions against companies supporting Moscow’s military-industrial complex. She stated that “mere words of condemnation will not stop attacks on Kyiv.” Instead, continuous military support for Ukraine and increased pressure on Moscow are crucial.
We remind you that after the deadly attack on Kyiv, Russia cynically announced a “retaliatory strike.” The Ministry of Defense claims to have carried out “high-precision strikes” solely on military objectives. Simultaneously, the Russian attack claimed the lives of civilians, destroyed residential buildings, and damaged civilian infrastructure.
