The Kremlin has responded to the incident involving a Russian drone that flew into an apartment building in Romania, hinting that the “leader” is fully informed.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the Russian dictator, Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, “leader” Vladimir Putin has been briefed. However, he did not provide further details.
“And what do you think? Did we hide it?” Peskov provocatively responded to a question about whether Putin had been informed about the UAV incident.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, **Maria Zakharova**, was more vocal in her comments. She cynically referred to Europe and NATO’s concern over the drone’s “arrival” in Romania as “noise.”
Furthermore, the representative of the aggressor country’s ministry, in her usual manner, also threatened Romania over the closure of the Russian Federation’s consulate in Constanta and the expulsion of Consul General Andrei Kosilin. She stated that “retaliatory measures will not be long in coming.”
Drone attack on Romania — details
The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, announced that the country is **closing the Russian Federation’s consulate**, and the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Constanta will be declared persona non grata.
As a reminder, on the night of May 29, a Russian drone flew into a 10-story building in the Romanian city of Galați. At least two people were injured. It turned out that the unmanned aerial vehicle was Russian. Although the military scrambled two fighter jets to intercept, the **UAV was not destroyed**.
European and NATO countries condemned these actions by the Russian Federation. In particular, the United States **issued a warning to Moscow**, emphasizing that they condemn the drone’s intrusion into the territory of an Alliance country.
