The Russian “fuhrer,” Volodymyr Putin, continues to seek audacious and nonsensical excuses to avoid a meeting with the Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelensky. The latest reason cited is strikes on Russian territory.
The dictator made this statement during a meeting with graduates of military academies.
He once again brazenly accused Ukraine of drone attacks. Putin clearly wishes to avoid acknowledging the fuel problems that arose from these strikes. Instead, he claimed that their primary purpose is to “destabilize society.”
The “fuhrer” also mentioned Volodymyr Zelensky’s open letter calling for an end to the war and a personal meeting. Simultaneously, the dictator audaciously stated that the message “boils down to creating conflict potential.”
Putin also reflected on the situation at the front, where he perceived “successes” for his occupying forces. According to him, the Russian armed forces are “completing” the capture of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Furthermore, he defiantly declared that during the so-called “special military operation,” “we will go where necessary.”

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia is “ready for negotiations” with Ukraine, while simultaneously asserting that Russia “will achieve the goals of the special military operation.” He again audaciously emphasized that Ukraine must have a “neutral, non-aligned, and non-nuclear status.”
Meanwhile, Russian dictator’s aide Yury Ushakov said they will “fight to the last Ukrainian.” He cynically stated that the G7 leaders’ meeting in France had nullified the US-Russia summit in Anchorage.
