During June 18th and 19th, Ukrainian forces successfully struck key Russian targets utilized for army resupply and combat operations support.
This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
AFU Strike Occupiers — What’s Known
The AFU noted that primary targets included railway bridges in occupied Crimea, specifically in the regions of Rozdolne and Vladyslavivka, which the enemy had exploited for logistics and military transport.
Additionally, confirmed hits were made on several significant sites within the combat zone:
-
A concentration area for equipment and weaponry near Severodonetsk;
-
A fuel and lubricants depot in Mariupol;
-
UAV command posts in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions (in the vicinities of Pokrovsk, Voskresenka, Siversk, Novoiivnivka, and Maliyivka).
A notable strike was also directed at the Moscow Oil Refinery. On June 18th, AFU destroyed a refining unit and four large fuel storage tanks. Due to severe damage, the refinery has completely ceased operations indefinitely.
“Ukraine’s defence forces will persist with systematic measures to inflict damage until the complete cessation of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff stated.
AFU Attack on Russian Refinery — Latest News
As a reminder, Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow on June 18th. Following the strikes on the oil refinery, residents of the Russian capital began complaining about a black film coating their vehicles, home windows, and clothing. This was most likely caused by large-scale fires and dense smoke.
Subsequently, the Kremlin was reluctant to comment on the attack on Moscow and the strikes on one of the largest refineries. Instead, echoing their Ministry of Defence, they asserted alleged “high performance of air defence forces.”
