Russian propagandists have stirred up another hysteria over Ukraine’s use of British drones.

The well-known Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov issued a chilling threat of a nuclear strike on Great Britain. This occurred against the backdrop of reports about the use of British attack drones by Ukrainian forces for attacks deep inside Russia and fears of World War III.
This is reported in an Express article.
Solovyov’s Nuclear Threats Against Britain
Solovyov called for a nuclear strike on Britain, suggesting targeting the country’s arms manufacturing facilities and sinking vessels transporting weapons for Ukraine.
“Hit them with ‘Poseidon’ [a nuclear underwater drone]. Give the British three days to learn to breathe underwater, and then hit them with ‘Poseidon’,” the propagandist stated on a state television channel.
Russian military sources claim that the nuclear underwater drone “Poseidon” can cause an explosion near the coast, which would supposedly inundate Britain with a radioactive wave. Last month, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the development of this weapon is nearing completion and could soon be ready for deployment.
Furthermore, Solovyov called for the closure of the British embassy in Moscow and the expulsion of British journalists from Russia.
“When they finally get rid of all these British journalists [in Moscow], all this nauseating anti-Russian riffraff, from here…? Kick them all out of here, close the embassy and throw them out,” he expressed.
Another Kremlin propagandist, Vladimir Kornilov, stated that Britain should be “nervous” about reports of its drones being used to strike targets deep within Russia.
“They proudly write that British drones are finally striking Russian facilities, they name these facilities. They refer to an anonymous source in the British Ministry of Defense who says that Russia has kept us on edge all this time… Now we are showing Russia that we are no longer nervous… The bad thing is that they are not nervous. Of course, they should be nervous,” Kornilov said.
He threatened Britain with the possibility of a reciprocal response.
“If British newspapers boast that their drones are already striking civilian targets deep inside Russia, then, of course, we can do the same. Or is that something completely different?” the propagandist remarked.
In turn, Solovyov stated: “Now strikes deep into Russia are being carried out with British weapons… this is a classic Anglo-Saxon war. We need to understand who we are fighting with, and respond asymmetrically…”
Call for Strikes on Targets in the EU and Ships with Military Cargo for Ukraine
He also called for strikes on targets in European countries and on ships carrying military cargo for Ukraine.
“We should not pay attention to what they say or think. They must be destroyed. Starting with the Baltic countries, through which drones have flown again, and ending with ports in Romania, through which they import weapons, as well as factories in England, Italy, France, and Germany, we must sink their ships that transport military supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And don’t even worry about it. There’s no point,” the Russian propagandist stated.
These statements came after Russian deputy Andrei Lugovoy, known for his hardline stance, claimed that Britain was allegedly intimidated by Putin’s warning about the possibility of detaining Western vessels in the Pacific and other oceans in response to the seizure of Russian “shadow fleet” ships.
“The British attempt to legalize piracy has ended in another failure. Was it worth the risk? Vladimir Putin’s promise to respond to the West for the seizure of Russian ships has forced London to admit that its power is no longer what it once was. England is no longer the ‘mistress of the seas’,” Lugovoy declared.
He also quoted the words of Lord West, former First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff, as well as former Labour Party minister:
“Our fleet has been reduced, reduced, and reduced again, and we do not have enough ships to fulfill our role of ensuring the security of global shipping.”
Use of British Drones in Ukraine – What is Known
Meanwhile, it is reported that the British Nyan, a jet-powered carbon fiber strike drone developed by Wiltshire-based Callen-Lenz, a subsidiary of BAE Systems, has already been used by Ukraine.
The drone’s wingspan exceeds 9 feet (over 2.74 m), and its declared flight range is over 150 miles (over 241 km).
In addition, Ukraine has used another British-made drone, the name of which has not been disclosed. It is launched from a catapult, and its flight range exceeds 600 miles (over 965 km).
Such systems can be launched in rapid volleys to breach or overwhelm Russian air defenses.
According to reports, British drone systems have participated in operations against Russian oil refineries and other infrastructure facilities over the past six months.
We remind you that, according to the BBC, British drones developed by two companies were used for the first time to strike military and industrial facilities in Russia, including oil refineries and Wildberries warehouses. The economic losses from these attacks are estimated to exceed 35 billion pounds sterling.
