The Kremlin has let slip about behind-the-scenes contacts with Trump’s son-in-law Kushner and US special envoy Vitkoff.

Russian dictator Putin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov cynically assured that the Russian Federation is open to peace negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.
His statement was reported by Russian propaganda media.
“Obviously, we maintain our openness to peace negotiations, and it would be better for us to achieve all our goals through peaceful diplomatic negotiations,” Peskov said.
He also accused the European Union of allegedly wanting Europe to “ruin these prospects.”
“And in this regard, we hope for the continuation of efforts to provide good-will services from American intermediaries,” he noted.
Peskov added that Moscow’s contacts with US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman, US President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, are quite frequent.
“Contacts through existing channels are indeed quite frequent. They are busy now. When they become freer, they will always be gladly welcomed in Moscow,” he said.
At the same time, Peskov clarified that reports by Western media about alleged daily contacts between the US and Russia are an exaggeration.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov voiced fantasies about “victories” on the front and assured that the war would continue until “defined goals” were achieved.
At the end of May, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that representatives of US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner might visit Kyiv in the near future. According to the head of state, the Ukrainian side expected their visit in about two weeks. However, the visit has not happened yet.
A few days ago, Zelenskyy admitted that there was no concrete news regarding the visit of the American delegation to Kyiv.
