If provocations occur against Ukraine, the only scenario for enemy forces in Transnistria will be to flee, as any support and reserves are absent there.

Russian servicemen in the unrecognized Transnistrian region are in a state of extreme panic and realize their hopelessness in the event of hostilities. Ukraine’s defense forces have complete control of the situation.
This was stated by the commander of the operational-tactical group “Odesa,” Denys Nosikov, as reported by “24 Kanal.”
According to Nosikov, Russian troops in Transnistria are currently in a state of extreme panic. They are undertaking certain measures resembling combat training, but intercepted communications and other intelligence indicate that if the enemy initiates a provocation and the Armed Forces of Ukraine decide to retaliate, the primary thought for the Russians will be to escape.
“**They are very concerned and frightened. We conduct all types of reconnaissance, including aerial and electronic. We see and hear everything. We monitor every discarded cigarette butt the enemy smokes and throws away online daily. We see everything as clearly as if it were on the palm of our hand. We have complete control,**” assured the commander of OTU “Odesa.”
He noted that due to the geographical location and the existing depots in the region, in the event of hostilities, **fighters from Transnistria would essentially have to fight “on horseback with sabers.”** In the context of modern warfare, such an approach cannot be effective. According to Nosikov, the Russian military understands this and recognizes the absence of any chances of success.
“The only thing left is to flee; reserves will not be mobilized, and reinforcements will not arrive. Therefore, they are doomed, and they realize it. But it’s not so easy to flee, because over all these years, they have families and children there. However, **the mood is panicked. Of course, they are afraid. And rightly so,**” emphasized Nosikov.
Speaking about the possibility of provocations by Transnistrian military personnel against Ukraine, the commander of OTU “Odesa” remarked that they themselves are so afraid of such a scenario that they are unlikely to dare to implement it.
Incidentally, in April, Russian President Volodymyr Putin signed a decree simplifying the granting of Russian citizenship to residents of Transnistria. For local residents, the requirements for mandatory five-year residence in Russia and passing exams on language, history, and legislation were abolished.
It should be noted that in May, the “South” Territorial Defense Forces reported that Odesa was being prepared for a circular defense to disrupt enemy plans and prevent the possibility of a landing. Extensive fortifications, including anti-tank ditches, dugouts, barbed wire, and “dragon’s teeth,” were being completed around the city.
