President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the steps proposed by Kyiv to end the war are finding support not only among international partners but also among the closest associates of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. In Moscow, there is a growing understanding that there is simply no alternative to a peaceful settlement.
This was stated in the president’s evening address on Friday, July 10.
Long-Range Sanctions and the Gasoline Crisis
According to the head of state, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to successfully implement a strategy of strikes on the objects of the Russian Federation. As a result of these accurate attacks, the Russian gasoline crisis is rapidly deepening, which is a just response to the Kremlin’s unwillingness to stop the hostilities.
“Today, our long-range strikes have reached several regions of Russia itself, as well as targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. I thank our warriors for their accuracy,” he emphasized.
Intensification of Attacks on the Aggressor’s Territory
Zelenskyy also highly praised the current operation of the Security Service of Ukraine regarding the application of so-called long-range sanctions. He announced further scaling of these actions so that Ukrainian defenders have the opportunity to more effectively destroy military targets.
“We will further strengthen this direction: our warriors must have significantly more opportunities to reach the Russian occupiers precisely from where they bring war to Ukraine – from the territory of Russia,” the country’s leader concluded.
