27.08.2026 22:13 Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralised and suppressed over 120 drones; casualties and damage reported in the capital
Throughout August 27, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Russian forces launched over 140 strike UAVs at Ukraine, with more than a hundred of them being reactive.
This was reported by the Air Force.

The primary target of the attack was Kyiv. According to preliminary data, the Defense Forces shot down and suppressed over 120 of the 140 launched attack drones.
In Kyiv, debris from falling drones caused fires in various parts of the capital. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, drone fragments fell near a school, resulting in damaged windows. Currently, four people are reported injured.
“In the Obolonskyi district, debris fell on residential areas, a park, a parking lot, and a garage cooperative. No fires or casualties were reported. In the Podilskyi district, debris landed on a kindergarten territory, as well as near a non-residential building,” Klitschko also stated.
Local social media channels are also circulating videos of fires in the capital, which, according to their reports, resulted from the Russian attack.
Due to the prolonged air raid siren, transportation in Kyiv experienced disruptions. Kilometers-long traffic jams formed on some roads, and public transport passengers struggled to get home.
This information is reported by the Telegram channel “Kyivskyi Dvizh”.
“The metro is packed… Trains on the red line are not going beyond ‘Teatralna’. People cannot get home,” reports “Kyivskyi Dvizh”.
This attack appears to be a continuation of the night terror on August 27, when the enemy attacked Kyiv. Specifically, the enemy targeted the Desnyanskyi, Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv. Later, as a result of the morning attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, a car caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district, and a sports complex building was damaged in the Pecherskyi district. One casualty was also reported.
We remind you that last week, on August 20, occupation forces already carried out a massive combined strike on the capital. As a result of the enemy attack that day, 12 people were killed, and another 34 were injured to varying degrees.
